Deeper Roots Coffee
I've been a huge Deeper Roots Coffee fan since I started getting geeky about it a few years ago. Deeper Roots has a coffee cupping on Tuesday afternoons, which I've gone too, you learn a lot quickly when you start comparing roasts side by side. They never had a traditional coffee shop, they just roasted and supplied other coffee shops. I always purchase whole beans at Collective Espresso in OTR.
But a few months ago Deeper Roots Coffee opened their own coffee shop in Oakley in a space attached to the Blue Manatee. I don't make it to Oakley very often but while out running around last week we made a special trip to check out Deeper Roots new space and it was well worth it. A couple pour overs, a cookie and we were caffeinated and on our way.
